The Avid Reader

This morning Evan decided to do us a favour and sort out our bookshelf. That or he was really interested in some reading material a little more intellectual than he's used to.



Daddy to the rescue! Evan's a big fan of any books that have animals in it. He's especially excited about his DK Pets board book.






Unfortunately, daddy soon had to leave for work. Evan's a little oblivious because he's into it. He woofs at the dogs and calls them "Daw". He also loves cats but hasn't quite learned the meow yet.

Yesterday afternoon Evan, Nittaya and I emptied a garden box in our backyard of weeds and plants and planted some herbs. We're a big fan of cilantro and basil, also thought we could use parsley and green onions. It was a blast for Evan! When he wasn't chewing on rocks he was stabbing the dirt with our weed remover (don't worry - no sharp edges). If this little growing project succeeds I'll probably get greedy and want to turn half of our backyard into a vegetable garden - next year.
